Cockpit
The An-148 cockpit incorporates up-to-date concepts in ergonomics, navigation, communication and automatic
flight control.
• The electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) and engine indication and crew alerting system
(EICAS) display the flight and navigation information of power plant condition and aircraft systems on
multifunctional multicolor LCDs.
• The Aircraft equipment features flight management system, TCAS, EGPWS, color radar with wind shear
detector, inertial and satellite navigation systems.
• The Aircraft avionics meet the RNP-1, RVSM and ICAO IIIA landing category requirements.

 |
Passenger cabin arrangements
|
|
Wide fuselage cross-section
allows “3+2” seats layout for
economy-class and “2+2”
seats layout for businessclass
with comfort level
similar to mainline airliners.
|
 |
 |
The seats and passenger
equipment can be altered
to meet specific customer
requirements considering
specific operations.
|
 |
 |
High passenger comfort
provisions:
• Successful engineering solutions are
used in cabin space arrangement
(wide aisle, optimum aisle height, large
overhead bins (4,7 m3) accepting
25 x 66 cm roll-aboard bags);
• Comon and individual areas are
ergonomically optimized;
• Low noise level;
• In-flight entertainment, information and
notification systems provide several
stereo and video programs, satellite communication and Internet access

Engine
|
An-148 aircraft is powered by two D436-148 engines manufañtured by “Motor Sich” plant (Ukraine). Depending on aircraft version, engine max takeoff thrust varies from 6400 up to 7500 kgf.
D 436-148 features:
• Full-authority digital electronic control (FADEC)
• Nacelles with thrust reversers
• Long engine lifetime of 40,000 flight hours and 20,000 cycles
• Rare shop visits: 10–12 000 hours “on-wing” between removals
• Specific fuel consumption: 0.360 kg/kgfh
The engine is designed for operations from hot-and-high airports.
Derated thrust setting for takeoff under normal conditions ensures longer engine lifetime.

Production Program Milestones
|
An-148 assembly lines are set up at Russia’s VASO
(Voronezh aircraft manufacturing facility) and Ukraine’s
AVIANT (Kyiv Aviation Plant). The two factories will be
able to manufacture up to 35 An-148s annually starting
from the year 2009.
|
• First flight – December 2004
• First deliveries – 2008
• Launch customers:
STC “Russia”
Air company “Polet” (Russia)
Alliance “AiRUnion”
Cubana de Aviacion
